We Remember Those We Have Lost

OCEAN CITY -- Nils F. Edwards, age 80, of Ocean City, died Thursday, Jan. 17, 2013 at Atlantic General Hospital in Berlin.

He was born in Philadelphia, Pa. and was the son of the late Freddy Otto and Inger (Thomsen) Edwards.  

He had been a construction superintendent for many years and was a member and past Exulted Ruler of the Ocean City Elks Lodge. He was also a U.S. Army veteran.

He is survived by his wife, Marcia K. Edwards of Ocean City; three daughters, Lori S. Edwards of Downingtown, Pa., Karen M. Madrigale (Michael) of Glenmoore, Pa., Robbin L. Kulek of San Diego, Calif.; a sister, Noel B. Kremer of Marshallton, Pa,; and five grandsons.

A memorial service was held Thursday, Jan. 24 at Hastings Funeral Home in Selbyville.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Worcester County Humane Society, P.O. Box 48, Berlin, Md. 21811 or to the Ocean City Elks Lodge, 13708 Sinepuxent Ave., Ocean City, Md. 21842.

Ira V. Phelps Jr.
BERLIN -- Ira “Moe” V. Phelps Jr. died on Jan. 15, 2013.

He was the beloved husband of the  late Helen K. (nee Ulrich); loving father of Valerie A. Kraft, Laura L. Johnson, Mala M. Marine and Charlotte K. Kuti, general manager of Coins Restaurant; and cherished grandfather of nine grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren. He is also survived by his sister, Blanche Bealle.

The funeral service was held at the Duda-Ruck Funeral Home of Dundalk on Tuesday.

In lieu of flowers, please donate in his memory to WW II Wounded Warriors Project, 1120 G Street NW, Suite #700, Washington, D.C. 20005.
