BERLIN- Stephen Decatur’s varsity wrestling team swept two matches last week, beating North Caroline, 58-12 and Easton, 54-21, to remain unbeaten at a perfect 4-0.
The Seahawks got off to a quick start against North Caroline, winning by pin in the first five matches to take a commanding 30-0 lead. Andrew Borradaile got the streak of pins started at 160, followed by Jared King at 170, John Devenny at 182, Adam Bargar at 195 and Caleb Massey at 220. North Caroline got on the board with a win at 285 over Ryan Kail, but Conner McCormick got the Seahawks back on track with a win. Four days later, Decatur beat Easton for its second big win in a row over a Bayside North opponent to improve to 4-0.
