Published August 26, 2011

Called the “granddaddy” of the resort area fishing tournaments, the annual Labor Day White Marlin Tournament is the oldest among the tournaments held in and around the resort area each summer. The first was held in 1958 and the annual...READ MORE

Mid-Atlantic $500K Off to Fast Start

Published August 26, 2011
OCEAN CITY- Despite a low pressure system offshore that kept almost all of the 117 boats entered at the docks in Ocean City and Cape May on Monday, the 19th Annual Mid-Atlantic $500,000 rallied on Tuesday with big fish weighed in nearly every category. Now in its 19th year, the Mid-Atlantic $500,000 continued to be one of the top sportfishing events in the region, perhaps second only to the White Marlin Open, with an estimated $1.5 million expected to be doled out to the winners in several...READ MORE
