OCEAN CITY - The Ocean City Police Department is looking for four individuals who recently stole approximately $2,000 worth of merchandise from the CVS store on 120th Street. This is the second time the store has been a victim of shoplifting in less than a year and according to a press release from the OCPD, it is the same subjects who shoplifted the first time back in July when they stole $3,000 worth of items and were never caught. OCEAN CITY - In a letter to Maryland Gov. Martin O'Malley, Trimper's Rides Vice President Doug Trimper tells the state's top-ranking official the amusement park is 'being forced out of business by taxation.' According to Trimper, whose family owns and operates the famous amusement park at the south-end of the Boardwalk, the property tax assessment on the land has increased from $29 million in 2004 to $77 million in 2007. SNOW HILL - The Worcester County Commissioner will vote on a moratorium on new adult themed businesses at Tuesday's commissioner meeting in Snow Hill, in order to give staff time to explore options for restricting and regulating sexually oriented businesses.
