BERLIN -- Worcester County Bureau of Investigations (WCBI) detectives last night investigated a reported suicide in the parking lot of Atlantic General Hospital.

WCBI officials on Tuesday confirmed an unidentified individual allegedly committed suicide by a single self-inflicted gunshot wound to the head in a vehicle in the parking lot at AGH around 9:30 p.m. on Monday. The identity of the victim is being withheld and no further details are being provided due to the sensitive nature of the case.

An AGH spokesperson did confirm the victim was never a patient at the Berlin hospital.
