NEW FOR MONDAY: OCPD Investigating Unattended Death Near Downtown Bar

OCEAN CITY -- The Ocean City Police Department is investigating an unattended death after a local man was found unresponsive outside a downtown bar early Saturday morning and was later declared deceased at Atlantic General Hospital.

Around 1:30 a.m. on Saturday, police and paramedics responded to the area of Somerset Street in reference to a male individual who was found unconscious on the street outside the Harbor Inn bar. Police and EMS arrived at the scene and located an unresponsive male. The male individual was taken to AGH where he was pronounced deceased. The male has been identified as Michael Eric Post, 39, of Ocean City.

Ocean City Police are currently investigating this incident as an unattended death. The deceased’s remains will be taken to the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner in Baltimore for an autopsy to determine the manner and cause of the victim’s death.
