Great Clue Caper Benefit Seeks Teams

2/15/2013 | By Publisher/ Editor, Steven Green

SALISBURY -- Village of Hope officials announced this week that registration is now open for the 4th Annual Great Clue Caper: An Amazing Race to Benefit the Village of Hope, scheduled for Sunday, April 14.

Returning teams and new teams can now register at www.greatcluecper.com.

"The Great Clue Caper is a really fun way for people who like to solve puzzles and seek out clues to match wits against other teams for the chance to win $2,000,” said Jackie Jennings, former WBOC anchor and event chair. “The event benefits the Village of Hope, a Salisbury charitable organization that provides a transitional living program for homeless women and their children and also operates a medical clinic for the financially disadvantaged. Besides being great fun for over 300 participants in 2012, the Caper raised more than $50,000 for the Village."

Teams will receive a clue book at the Village of Hope. It will contain the clues needed to win the race. All clue locations are within Wicomico County.

Jennings said that the event, started in 2010, consists of 50 teams following clues throughout the area with a goal of reaching the finish line first. She said that the cost to participate is $25 per person. The winning team receives a check for $1,000 plus a $1,000 donation to the non-profit organization of its choice.

The Great Clue Caper begins at the Village of Hope at 1 p.m. Pre-registration is required. A post-race party is planned for all contestants.

Registration is available online at www.greatcluecaper.com.
