BERLIN- Stephen Decatur’s varsity cross country teams turned in a strong showing at a Bayside Conference meet last week with several runners finishing among the leaders.
The meet was hosted by Cambridge-South Dorchester last Thursday on a course familiarly known as The Jungle. On the girls’ side, Decatur’s Lauren Buckman finished fourth overall among the 65 competitors in the meet with a time of 22:06. Alexandra Tushup was seventh overall, finishing in 22:38; Alex Saunders was 12th, coming in a 22:51; and Jordan Klebe was 18th, finishing in 23:49.
On the boys’ side, 73 runners competed with several Decatur racers finishing in the top half of the field. Daniel Winters was 17th overall, finishing in 18:56. Kevin Herbert was 23rd, coming in a 19:24 and Jake Gaddis was 24th, finishing in 19:31.
