United Way Holds Seventh Annual CEO And Coordinator Breakfast

United Way of the Lower Eastern Shore recently held the seventh annual CEO & Coordinator Breakfast, inviting local business and community leaders to officially kick off the 2012 United Way campaign.  Over 200 attendees gathered to hear inspirational speeches and updates on how United Way is uniting the community and changing lives throughout the Lower Eastern Shore. Kiwanis Club Of OP/OC Donates Money To Local Schools

Every year the Kiwanis Club of Greater Ocean Pines-Ocean City donates money to local schools in support of their programs. There's a K-Kids Club at Buckingham Elementary, a Builders Club at Berlin Intermediate School as well as Key Clubs at Stephen Decatur High and The Salisbury School. The club donated $1,000 to each school. Ocean Point Makes Donation To American Cancer Society

On behalf of Ocean Point, Ltd., President Steve Kenny recently presented $1,600 to Steve Weimer, who played for Kirby’s Pub softball team this summer and spearheaded a grassroots fundraising campaign for the American Cancer Society (ACS). Weimer’s team went undefeated this summer, going 16-0, and Kenny had pledged prior to the season to donate $100 per win to Weimer’s ACS drive.
