BERLIN -- Worcester Preparatory School recently welcomed Marion Connolly as Director of Development and Elizabeth (Betsy) Hornung as Assistant Director of Development.
The two will form a team to oversee the Annual Fund for Excellence; fund-raising events such as the GALA and Christmas Bazaar; and all aspects of school development.
Following several years in the business world, Connolly served as Director of Development of the Associated Catholic Charities in Baltimore. She was Director of Development for the Tri-Province Sisters of Notre Dame de Nemur and brings with her a wealth of knowledge of development and independent schools. Connolly is a graduate of Maryvale Preparatory School, where she served on the Development Committee, Chair of the Board of Trustees, and in numerous fundraising roles.
Hornung spent two years in the business world before coming to Salisbury University where she served as Public Relations Assistant, moving in 2009 to the Salisbury University Foundation. As special events coordinator, Hornung worked with the Director of Development and Director of Leadership Giving and directed such events as the Sea Gull Century, SU Foundation Golf Classic, Capital Campaign Celebration Gala, and President’s Club Donor receptions.
