BERLIN- Stephen Decatur’s girls’ varsity lacrosse team will face Bennett for the third time this season after the two teams earned high seeds in the state 3A-2A South regional tournament.
When the brackets were released this week, the Decatur girls were awarded a number-two seed in the east sectional of the 3A-2A South region and a first-round bye. The Seahawks will face familiar foe Bennett at home this afternoon. Bennett was awarded a number-three seed in the east sectional and also earned a first-round bye. Decatur beat Bennett twice already this season, including a 14-2 win on March 26 and an 18-3 win on April 26. Should the Seahawks get by Bennett for a third time, they will likely face top-seeded Queen Anne’s.
