Assateague Island KinderKritters

4/18/2008 | By The Dispatch Staff

Kindergarten students were amazed by the creatures that live on Assateague Island during KinderKritters, a program conducted by Park Rangers Liz and Chris. Programs were presented to Ocean City Elementary's pre-kindergarten and kindergarten students. Before the visit from the rangers, early childhood students at OCES collected "Cents for the Seashore" donations, and presented a check in appreciation for the wonderful experiences the park provides the community. Top, students Maggie Powell, Summer Vorsteg, Katie Mitchell, Jaya Tyre and Angelo Reinoso are amazed by the adult whelk. Bottom, students moving like creatures without arms and legs are Lydia Woodley, Isaac Gillin and Jaya Tyre.
