Tuesday, July 22 - Greek Festival Comes To Ocean City

OCEAN CITY - All are welcome to be Greek for the weekend of July 25-27 at the Ocean City Convention Center on 41st St. and Coastal Highway.

Sponsored by St. George Greek Orthodox Church of Ocean City, the festival offers traditional Greek cuisine, homemade Greek pastry delicacies, shopping featuring imports, art, jewelry, specialty groceries and the 'best little 50/50 raffle in town' for $5,000.

Festival hours are Friday and Saturday, noon until 11 p.m. and Sunday, noon until 9 p.m. Admission is $2 from noon until 5 p.m. and $3 from 5 p.m. until close. Children under 14 are free when accompanied AGH and PRMC hospital employees. Ocean City town employees and AARP members are admitted for free from noon-5 p.m. with employment ID or membership card.

Friday, July 25

5-11 p.m.: International melodies for listening and dining by Zephyros


6:30 and 8:30 p.m.: Demonstration of Greek Folk dancing by the Demetrakia


Saturday, July 26


Noon: Opening

5:30 and 8:30 p.m.: Demonstration of Greek Folk dancing by the Demetrakia


Sunday, July 27


9 a.m.: Divine Liturgy, St. George Church, 8805 Coastal Highway


Noon: Festival opening


3 and 5:30 p.m.: Demonstration of Greek Folk dancing by the Demetrakia


4-9 p.m.: International melodies for listening and dining by Zephyros


9 p.m.: Raffle drawing
