Community Foundation Women's Fund Awards Diakonia $5,000
The Women’s Fund at the Community Foundation of the Eastern Shore awarded $5,000 to Diakonia, Inc. The funds will be used to create a weekly women’s support group at its transitional housing shelter. This group will promote healthy support networks and will provide women who are homeless with coping techniques, job and life skills, and a positive social network.
