Rough Seas Curtail 32nd Shark Tourney

OCEAN CITY- The Ocean City Shark Tournament was held last weekend, but with high winds and rough seas keeping the number of participating boats down and keeping those that did sign up at the docks for much of the event, the 32nd annual event resembled the first over three decades ago. 35th OC Basketball Classic Underway

OCEAN CITY- The Ocean City Basketball Classic got underway today with teams from all over the country converging in the resort for the annual tournament now in its 35th year. AAU teams with players in grades 3-12 from as far away as Wisconsin are competing in the classic, which is also hosting teams from throughout the mid-Atlantic region including New York, New Jersey, Connecticut, Pennsylvania, West Virginia, Delaware, Washington, D.C. and of course Maryland. BERLIN- Two teams, Stephen Decatur and Parkside, dominated the All Bayside South team girls’ varsity lacrosse honors for released this week. Decatur, which went 10-5 on the season and reached the state Class 3A-2A East Region title game before falling to Queen Anne’s, placed eight players on the All Bayside South team. SALISBURY- A local swimmer will get a shot at a trip to London for the 2012 Summer Olympic Games later this summer when she competes in the U.S.A. Team Trials in Omaha, Nebraska next week.
