Fatherhood Adventures

September 18, 2009 - Fatherhood Adventures
It finally happened. I guess it was inevitable. A major kid meltdown led to us having to leave a restaurant early. While at The Globe last Thursday, Beckett was throwing the fit of all fits, and we had no other choice but to raise the white flag, or the black cloth table napkin in this case. We surrendered to our little one reluctantly because we have never before had to give in to these strange tantrums. Before finally giving up, we tried walking him around the restaurant a couple times and...READ MORE

Thoughts From The Publisher's Desk

Ocean City Councilman Joe Hall knows he's out on an island, but he's hopeful for some company. The resort restaurateur wants to know how the town's Tourism Commission defines the Rodney advertising campaign as a success. Hall is aware some of his colleagues may think of him as a 'Debbie Downer' of sorts, but that's a label he's fine with so long as he gets the facts he wants. He also realizes he has been the most vocal critic of the town's advertising company, its message and the targeted...READ MORE

What A Health Plan Needs To Accomplish Editor: President Bush and other Republicans were thrown out of office because they were destroying the American economy. They ran up a $2 trillion national debt. Now that debt is projected to be $9 trillion. Furthermore, it will be driven up by a minimum of $1trillion more by creating the beginnings of a single payer national health plan, like those failing in England and Canadian. I have read enough of the House plan to realize there will be little...READ MORE
