Stephen Decatur High School Connections Club members Olivia Turner and Erin McGuire recently organized a canned food drive for the Agape Project in Berlin. The two, who are also members of the 2009 Greene Turtle Girls Lacrosse Team, organized the food drive around the club's annual 'TurtleFest' tournament at Northside Park. The performance made connections with the sixth grade study of world cultures as well as placing emphasis on world peace and cultural differences. Linda Brown's second grade class at Ocean City Elementary School recently used raisins, mini marshmallows and gumdrops to make a tail feather pattern on toothpicks and attached them to create a colorful and delicious turkey.
