Fact: A Fruitland man died this week in the ocean trying to rescue his two sons reportedly caught in a rip current near the Inlet after the Ocean City Beach Patrol went off duty. Opinion: This is a heartbreaking story for a number of reasons, not the least of which is the fact it's easily preventable.
