United Way Presents Wicomico Public Libraries With $35,000 Check For New Adult Literacy Program

United Way of the Lower Eastern Shore recently presented Wicomico Public Libraries a $35,000 check for a new adult literacy program, Project READ+. The program, initiated by the Rotary Club of Wicomico County, will provide free tutoring to adults in the five areas of literacy. Project READ+ will establish a corps of volunteers to educate local adults and will be overseen by a program coordinator.
