22nd Malibu’s Summer Classic Set For Saturday

OCEAN CITY- The Delmarva Eastern Surfing Association (ESA) will hold its third contest of the year on Saturday when the Malibu’s Summer Classic returns for the 22nd year.

The Delmarva ESA is hosting a summer-long contest series with points distributed to the winners in several categories. The third leg in the series, the Malibu’s Summer Classic, will be held on Saturday on the beach at 8th Street. The contest is a regional qualifying event for 2017 and Delmarva ESA is also promoting it as a means to increase membership by drawing new members and resigning old supporters who have seen their memberships expire in the last year. The heats will start no later than 8 a.m. on the beach at 8th Street on Saturday with the final awards handed out no later than 4 p.m.
