BERLIN- Despite playing a man down for much of the weekend and most of the team arriving just minutes before the start of their first game, the Delmarva Dolphins girls’ lacrosse program turned in a strong performance last weekend at the Intercollegiate Women’s Lacrosse Association Champion’s Cup in Richmond, going 2-1 during the tournament.

The Dolphins, made up of players from the Berlin and Ocean City area and across the Lower Shore beat the York Invaders, 11-0, and True Lacrosse, 14-1, before falling to Intrepid Elite, 8-5, on Sunday. The Dolphins succeed despite adversity, including playing with a short roster and arriving at the event just minutes before their first game.
