BERLIN — Gregory Scott Kuykendall, 49, of Oak Hill, Va. passed away on May 31, 2016 at 4:15 p.m.

Greg was born on Oct. 23, 1966, the only child to Billy and Betty Kuykendall of Harrisonburg, V. Greg graduated from Harrisonburg High School in 1985 a talented athlete and scholar. He went on to attend the University of Virginia where he earned a bachelors and masters degree. Greg was an enthusiastic UVA alumnus and he loved tailgating and attending sporting events.

Greg was a successful CPA and partner with Ernst and Young in Tyson’s Corner, Va. He loved playing golf but his real passion was his beautiful family. Greg leaves behind his beloved wife, Kelly, and their four children, Ashley, Madeline, Matthew and Cali.

Greg was adored by his mother-in-law, Katy Durham, of Ocean City; sisters-in-law Amy and Brandy; and brother-in-law Nick. Greg was also a loving and generous uncle to Annie, Charlie, Brooklyn and Helen Bradley.

Services were held. In lieu of flowers, the family has requested donations be made to a scholarship established in Greg’s name at his high school in Harrisonburg, Va. Checks should be made payable to Harrisonburg Education Foundation, One Court Square, Harrisonburg, Va. 22801. Please put “Greg Kuykendall Memorial Scholarship” in the memo line.

Larry Lee Puckett, Sr.

BERLIN — Larry Lee Puckett, Sr., 68 years old, of Catonsville, passed away on June 3, 2016 at St. Agnes Hospital from pancreatic cancer.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Margaret Lucille (nee Mitchell) and Otis Daniel Puckett; a twin brother, Gary Edward; younger brother, Danny Wayne; and two sisters, Donna Marie and Flora Mae. He is survived by his loving wife, Karen Ann (nee Richick); sister, Debbie Morgan; George W. Mitchell (like a brother), and sister-in-law, Denise Puckett. He is also survived by his children, Larry Lee Jr. and April of Dundalk, Eric Michael Sr. and Kim of Westminster, and Larry Gordon and Michelle of Palatka, Fla.; his grandchildren, Brandon M., Ryan M., Ian C., Eric M. Jr., Hunter L., Ryan N., Lexi D., and Sierra E.; his nephews, Christopher and Heidi Morgan, James Proctor, Danny Proctor, Matthew and Jody Williams; his niece, Stephanie Williams; and special family members, Gerard and Anne Williams, Lorraine and Clayton Proctor and Robert Richick. Also, surviving are a half sister and brother, Joyce Bryant and Robert Puckett of Richmond Va., and many beloved cousins, nieces, nephews and family members.

Larry was a top management professional with large international companies General Electric and Carrier Corporation and later on upon returning to Maryland, he was vice president for several large companies. Larry was a people oriented management person that specialized in improving operations and distribution. He enjoyed boating, the beach, fishing and all water related activities. Larry was very family oriented and loved to get together with them during family outings especially, the Catonsville July 4th celebration.

Larry was born in Greensboro N.C. and as a child lived in the Lynchburg/Appomattox Va, area until he was 7 years old when the family moved to Baltimore. He was a member of the Moose Club in Glen Burnie since 1975. He moved with his employer from Maryland to Chicago, Syracuse, N.Y., New Orleans, La. and then back to Catonsville in 1987. He loved living in the Catonsville/Oak Forest area. Larry enjoyed riding around in his 1952 green MG. He was a regular visitor to the All Saints Convent at the end of Hilton Ave. He loved chatting with the sisters there. They were very special to him. He was a member of St. Mark Church in Catonsville.
