BERLIN — JoAnn Louise Murray Innocente Crockett, 79, of Berlin, died peacefully in her sleep at her daughter’s home on May 17.

She was the daughter of the late John H. Murray and Grace Seibel Murray.

JoAnn is survived by her beloved husband, Darryl Crockett; devoted daughter, Lynn Innocente Barber; son-in-law, Greg; grandson Jeremy Barber; dear brother, David F. Murray and his family; her close friend, casino buddy and caregiver, Cynthia Innocente Suit; many nieces and nephews; and countless loving friends.

JoAnn was born in Harrisburg, Pa. on May 24, 1936, moved to Maryland in 1951, and lived in and around Beltsville most of her life before moving to Berlin in 1999. She had a multifaceted working life as an executive secretary, typesetter, bookkeeper, office manager and proprietor of JoAnn’s Books.

A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, June 11 at St. John’s Evangelical Lutheran Church in Columbia. A celebration of her life will immediately follow at a location to be determined. Please RSVP to [email protected] for additional details.

BERLIN — Louise Emma Jones, age 94, died Monday, May 23, 2016 at Coastal Hospice at the Lake in Salisbury with her beloved children by her side.

Born in Whaleyville, she was the daughter of the late Frank G. Timmons and Gurnie Ellen Morris Timmons. She was preceded in death by her husbands, William H. Dix and Isaac Nobel Jones (in 1967), and two grandchildren, H. Michael Turner, and Elisa Lyn Turner.

She is survived by her devoted children, Patricia Ann Klinger and her husband Thomas of Chincoteague, Va., Billie Rae Dix Turner and Richard DInges of Berlin, and Darrell Nobel Jones and his wife Shelley of Mardela Springs. She was an adored grandmother to Tina Renée Baldwin and her husband Eugene of Haymarket, Va., Jon Beauchamp of Woodbridge, Va., Gwen Miller of Pittsville, Deborah L. Turner of Berlin, 13 great-grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. Also surviving are two nephews, Danny Cropper and David Cropper, and many great-great nieces and nephews. She was also preceded in death by her sisters, Lillian T. Coffin and Irene McCabe Truitt, and a special nephew, William Frank McCabe.

Louise was raised in Berlin and graduated from Buckingham High School and had worked as a waitress at Dick’s Drive-In in West Ocean City. She was a member of Stevenson United Methodist Church in Berlin. She enjoyed reading, cooking and tending her flowers.

A graveside service will be held on Tuesday, June 14, 2016, at 1 p.m. at Evergreen Cemetery in Berlin. Rev. Olin Shockley will officiate. A donation in her memory may be made to Coastal Hospice P.O. Box 1733, Salisbury, Md., 21804.
