OCEAN CITY — The Ocean City Police Department Criminal Investigation Division is currently investigating a fatal fall from an eighth-floor balcony at a 21st Street hotel.
On Saturday, May 21, 2016, at approximately 7:20 p.m. Ocean City police responded to the Stowaway Grand Hotel, located at 2100 Baltimore Avenue, to assist Ocean City EMS after an individual fell from an eighth-floor balcony on the south side of the building. Ocean City paramedics determined that the victim, Jordan M. Hess, a 29-year-old male of Chambersburg, Pa., was deceased shortly after arrival.
Preliminarily, investigators believe that the incident was accidental, however, the cause and manner of death will be determined by the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner in Baltimore in the coming days.
