Mallards Rebound From Rare Loss

BERLIN- Worcester Prep’s boys’ varsity lacrosse team rebounded from a tough loss to Salesianium last week with a big win on the road over Cambridge-South Dorchester on Monday.

After a season-opening loss to Parkside way back on March 22, the Mallards had reeled off eight straight wins heading into last Friday’s road game at Salesianium. Despite a tough battle, the Mallards fell, 14-8, to Salesianium for its first loss in nearly a month. Wyatt Richins scored three goals, while Sam Cantello and Tucker Brown each added two. Ross Dickerson dominated with 18 face-offs won, while Wade Walter made 17 saves in the net.

Back in action on Monday, the Mallards returned to their winning ways with a 15-8 win over Cambridge-South Dorchester on the road. The Worcester boys will play Sussex Tech on the road on Saturday, followed by another road game against Salisbury School next Wednesday.
