Shockley Named “Tough Guy of the Year”

BERLIN- Stephen Decatur’s Ernest Shockley this week was honored with the Atlantic Physical Therapy “Tough Guy of the Year” award for his outstanding play this season and throughout his career as a Seahawk.

Every week throughout the football season, Atlantic Physical Therapy recognized a “Tough Guy of the Week” at Decatur, typically a player that doesn’t necessarily show up in the box score, but represents the spirit of Seahawk football. At the end of the year, ATP recognizes a player that exhibits those qualities throughout the season and even over a high school career. This year, Shockley fit that bill and was honored with the “Tough Guy of the Year” award this week at a special ceremony.
