A team of Worcester Preparatory School seniors and faculty members created “Makerspace Playground” for attendees at the annual Association of Independent Maryland Schools Teachers’ Retreat in St. Michaels. The Makerspace Playground featured activities such as making Easter egg maracas, making a nut and bolt with a 3D printer, carving with a digital milling machine, making a piano keyboard using bananas and MakeyMakey, building a bottle cap mural, and solving five STEM (science, technology, engineering, mathematics) challenges.  Pictured are, front from left, seniors  Natalie Twilley, Mikalah Potvin, Christopher Choy and Erik Zorn; back, Lower School Art teacher Rebecca Tittermary, Chemistry and Computer Science teacher Colleen McGuire, fourth grade teachers Amanda Lynch and Laura Holmes; and first grade teacher Angela Bunting.
