OCEAN CITY- The Ocean City Recreation and Parks’ 4th Annual Sportsmanship Ceremony this week recognized youth athletes that have exemplified good sportsmanship throughout the winter season during recreation programs held at the Northside Park Recreation Complex.
Basketball coach Chris Veirs was selected by the Ocean City Recreation Boosters as Volunteer of the Year for 2014. Receiving sportsmanship awards for girl’s basketball were Deliyah Holland, Sarah Lydic, Hannah Hammel-Naylor, Nicole Telo, Lauren Cannateli, Nadia Bullock, Yasmeen Sbih, Sophia Ludt, Emily Stitely, Brooklyn Pugner, Isabella Kristick, Jenna Banks, Dina Sbih, Elizabeth Berkey, Mae Purnell, and Katie Mitchell.
