Bayside South Basketball Honors Awarded

BERLIN- The boys’ Bayside South Conference post-season accolades were announced this week with a handful of Decatur players earning Honorable Mentions.

Wicomico High, which reached the state semifinals, dominated the major awards in the Bayside South. Torrey Brittingham, who transferred to WiHi from Decatur this year, was named Bayside South Player of the Year. Longtime Wicomico coach Butch Waller was also named Bayside South Coach of the Year.

Earning Bayside South honorable mentions from Decatur were Keve Aluma, Tyree Henry, Jaquan Johnson, Will Sass and Daquan Andrews. The Bayside South All-Conference First-Team included Nelson Brown of Wicomico, Shakur Cottman of Washington, Dajour Diggs of Parkside, Barry Gaines of Bennett and Dajour Mills of Pocomoke.

The Bayside South All-Conference Second Team included Mike Jean-Charles of Bennett, Colen Gaynor of Parkside, Marc Jones of Washington, Raymir Smith of Pocomoke and Juwan Williams of Parkside. Also earning Honorable Mentions were Jorden Duffy and Trayshawn Wright of Bennett; Nate McCoy, Zach Hyland and Caleb Corbin of Mardela; Gary Briddell of Parkside; Tyler Nixon, Trevon Brown, LiCurtis Whitney, Leander Roberts and Jameel Baldwin of Pocomoke; Manny Pinkney, Veshawn Bratten and Takhai Wise of Snow Hill, Jemir Jones, Kamryn Somers, Deshawn Parks, Montrez Oliver and Tyler Poulson of Washington and Lionel Batson, Ly Stanley and Jordan Brittingham of Wicomico.
