Eleanor Landing Abbott
BERLIN — Eleanor Landing Abbott, age 86, passed away Tuesday, Feb. 24, 2015 at Atlantic General Hospital in Berlin.
Born in Princess Anne, she was the daughter of the late Pierce Gardner Landing and Ella Marie Hancock Landing.
She was preceded in death by her husband, William Lee Abbott. She is survived by her daughter, Linda A. Lynch and her husband John B. Lynch Jr. and her grandson William Martin Lynch “Will” and his wife Amanda, also her great great-grandchildren, Jack Brittingham Lynch and John William Lynch, all of Berlin. She was also preceded in death by a grandson, John B. Lynch, III “Tres.”
Mrs. Abbott was a graduate of Washington High School in Princess Anne and had formerly worked for Bennett Bozman at Farlow’s Pharmacy in Berlin. She was Mr. Bozman’s babysitter when he was a young boy.
A funeral service was held on Saturday, Feb. 28, 2015 at the Burbage Funeral Home in Berlin. Rev. Olin Shockley officiated. Interment was private for the family at Siloam Churchyard in Salisbury.
