BERLIN- Stephen Decatur’s varsity volleyball team was well represented when the Bayside South awards were announced last week following the 2014 season.
Bennett’s Madison Brock was named Player of the Year and Pocomoke’s Paul Becker was named Coach of the Year in the Bayside South. Decatur’s Ellen Bargar and Hannah Adkins were named First Team-All Bayside South. The first team also included Vanessa Bennish and Hannah Clarke of Parkside, Dynaisha Christian of Pocomoke, Veronica Bennett of Snow Hill, and Alison Todd and Teaghen Vogelsang of Bennett.
Haley Trice was named Second Team-All Bayside South. Rounding out the second team were Megan Lowe, Lakiaha Wright and Robin Joynes of Wicomico, Brooklyn Johnson of Pocomoke, Dajah Purnell and Kayla Forosisky of Parkside and Courtnee McKenzie of Bennett. Decatur’s Kayla Heinz and Victoria Williams earned honorable mention, as did Rachel Leisten and Heather Starner of Bennett.
