Worcester Girls Run Win Streak To Five

BERLIN- Worcester Prep rallied to beat St. Thomas More, 54-30, on Monday to improve to 6-0 on the young season.

After a 48-28 loss to Sussex Tech back on December 5, the Mallards have now run off five straight wins to improve to 6-1 on the season. Against Greenwood on the road last Friday, the Worcester girls won 55-28. Grace Tunis led the offense with 14 points while Sophie Brennan pitched in 13. Jordie Loomis and Karlie Southcomb each scored 10 points in the victory.

Back in action at home on Monday, the Mallards downed St. Thomas More, 54-30. Worcester trailed early, but went on an 18-0 run spanning the end of the first quarter and much of the second quarter to break the game open. Brennan led the way with 18 points, while Natalie Twilley scored 14 and grabbed an amazing 20 rebounds.
