15th Annual Rocktoberfest A Big Success

OCEAN CITY- The 15th Annual Rocktoberfest tournament hosted by Bahia Marina last weekend was again a big success with several big fish caught in multiple categories during the 24-hour event.

The annual Rocktoberfest tournament got underway at 4 p.m. last Saturday and concluded at 4 p.m. on Sunday. For the record, Hugh Cropper on the “Myra HT” took first place in the rockfish division with a 15-pound 11-ounce striper worth $1,870. Chris Hall on the “Miller Time” took second with a 13-plus-pounder worth $1,025. Mike Schirmer on the “Flying Lady” took third in the division with a 12-plus-pounder worth $705.

In the bluefish division, Myra Cropper on the “Myra HT” took first with a seven-pounder worth $287. Owen Collins on the “Longfin” took first in the tautog division with a three-pounder worth $287. Kevin Stoltzfus on the “Miss Jen” took first in the flounder division with a five-pounder worth $287 and Scott Stoltzfus on the “Miss Jen” took first in the open division with a 23-pound ray worth $287.
