Decatur Golfers Continue To Lead Bayside South

BERLIN- Stephen Decatur’s varsity golf team continued its early season success this week, outclassing the field at Nassawango on Tuesday to remain unbeaten.

The Seahawks shot a collective 175 at Nassawango on Tuesday, led by Brooks Holloway’s 39, which earned him the medal in the match. Matt Kristick shot a 42, Delaney Iacona came in at 45, Matt Kinsey shot a 49 and Bailey Warren finished in 52. Parkside was the next closest at 190, while Bennett shot a 192. Washington’s Jordan Culotta also shot a 39 and shared medal honors with Holloway.

The Seahawks are now 4-0 and lead the Bayside South standings with a low four points. Bennett and Parkside are tied for second with 10 points and Pocomoke is third with 17 points. In terms of individual standings, Decatur’s Kristick is tied for first with Bennett’s Ayden Whitehead, with both players averaging 40.5. Holloway is fourth with a 41.25 average, while Kinsey is tied for sixth with Culotta with averages of 43.25. Iacona is also in the top 10 with an average score of 44.
