Seahawks Pound Crabbers, Halt Skid

BERLIN- Stephen Decatur’s varsity softball team routed visiting Crisfield, 14-4, on Tuesday to halt a four-game losing streak and improve to 7-8 on the season.

After a slow start on a blustery, damp afternoon on Tuesday, the Seahawks got the bats going and crushed the Crabbers, 14-4. The win halted a four-game losing streak for the Seahawks, who had also lost six of its last seven. Before Tuesday’s win, Decatur’s last victory was a 7-3 win over Snow Hill last Tuesday. With a record of 7-8, the Seahawks have an opportunity to end the season on a winning note with home game against Washington and a rematch with Crisfield on the road on Monday.
