BERLIN- Stephen Decatur’s girls’ varsity lacrosse team this week continued its torrid pace to start the season, routing Parkside and Cambridge-South Dorchester in successive games to improve to 4-0 on the season.

After beating Bayside North power Kent Island, 13-4, in the season opener two weeks ago, followed by an 18-0 rout of Bennett two days later, the Seahawks started to get into the meat of their schedule with a game against old rival Parkside at home last Wednesday. The Seahawks got out to an early lead against the Rams and cruise to the 14-5 win. Last Friday, Decatur hit the road for another game with a Bayside North opponent, this time Cambridge-South Dorchester, and blew away the Vikings, 19-3.

The pair of wins improved the Seahawks’ record to 4-0 and continued their early season domination. After four games, the Decatur girls have outscored their opponents, 64-12, for an average margin of victory of 16-3. The Seahawks face Kent County on the road this afternoon followed by a home game against Easton next Tuesday. Next Saturday, the Decatur girls will host their own invitational tournament.
