Decatur Boys Out To Fast 2-0 Start

BERLIN- Stephen Decatur’s boys’ varsity lacrosse team got off to a hot start last week, beating Parkside and Cambridge-South Dorchester to open the 2014 campaign with a 2-0 mark.

The Seahawks finally opened the season last Wednesday after a handful of weather-related postponements with a 23-1 thrashing of old rival Parkside on the road. Decatur followed up that big win with a 17-2 rout of Cambridge-South Dorchester in the home opener on Friday.

After two games, the Seahawks’ potent offense and stingy defense has outscored its opponents by an impressive 40-3. Decatur hits the road this afternoon for a game against Bayside North’s Kent County. The Seahawks return home on Monday with a game against Bayside South rival Bennett.
