Seahawks Near Perfect in First Two Games

BERLIN- Stephen Decatur’s varsity baseball team jumped out to an early 2-0 record to start the season with a pair of wins over Pocomoke and Mardela this week.

Pitching and defense are expected to be the strong suits for the Seahawks this season and through the first two games that has proven to be true. Decatur blanked county rival Pocomoke, 10-0, in the season opener last Friday at home. On the road against Mardela on Monday, the Seahawks again did not allow an earned run won 11-1. Grant Donahue and Sean Colgan teamed up to throw a no-hitter against the Warriors on Monday. Decatur is scheduled to play Washington on the road this afternoon and will face Snow Hill at home on Monday.
