Worcester Boys Win Streak Ends At 11

BERLIN- Worcester Prep’s boys’ varsity basketball team fell to Salisbury School, 53-42, on Tuesday on the road, ending an 11-game win streak for the Mallards.

The Mallards had been on a major roll heading into Tuesday’s road game with the Dragons, having won 11 in a row. Their last lost, and their only loss on the season to date, came way back on December 3 when they fell to Salisbury Christian.

Last Wednesday, the Worcester boys avenged that loss, beating Salisbury Christian, 52-49, which was exactly the same score only the opposite way back on December 3. The Mallards cruised past Gunston, 57-21, last Friday for their 11th straight win to improve to 12-1 on the season. However, the streak ended with a 53-42 loss to Salisbury Christian on the road on Tuesday. The Mallards will seek to rebound from just their second loss of the season this afternoon against Delmarva Christian, weather permitting.
