Star Charities Holds Annual Beef ‘n Beer Benefit

Star Charities held its annual Beef ‘n Beer benefit dinner Jan. 11 at the Ocean Pines Community Center with proceeds going to Home of the Brave, a holiday away-from-home for combat veterans and their families. The facility, founded by Tina Pearson, derives its income from donations and is open to combat veterans — and their families — who have deployed within the last 18 months in a combat setting or those currently receiving medical care for injuries sustained while in combat.
