Decatur Wrestlers Stay on Big Roll

BERLIN- Stephen Decatur’s varsity wrestling team continued to plow through its Bayside Conference schedule this week, picking up three decisive wins to improve to 7-0 on the season.

Last Wednesday, the Seahawks beat both Cambridge-South Dorchester and Mardela in a dual meet in Cambridge. Decatur beat the Vikings, 51-15, and followed that up with a decisive 65-9 win over Mardela. Back in action on Friday, the Seahawks rolled past Kent County, 72-6, picking up five wins by pin in the process.

Collecting wins for Decatur against Cambridge-South Dorchester were Robert Kaminski (106), Dillon Goggin (113), Andy McKahan (120), T.J. Scafone (126), Nevin McIntosh (152), Nick Bennett (160), Andrew Borradaile (170), Jared King (182), Brandon Wooten (195) and Ethan Eibl (220).

On the same night against Mardela, Decatur got wins from Kaminski, Goggin, McKahan, Scafone, Nate Rosenblatt, Bennett, Borradaile, Brett Kim, King, Wooten, Caleb Massey and Eibl. In Friday’s 72-6 win over Kent County, Decatur got wins from Kaminski, Goggin, McKahan, Scafone, Joseph Rodriguez, Rosenblatt, Tyler VanSice, Bennett, Borradaile, King, Pat Devenny, Massey and Eibl.
