We Remember Those We Have Lost

Margaret Cordner Trail
BERLIN — On Dec. 22, 2013, Margaret “Peg” Cordner Trail passed away.
She was the beloved wife of the late Vernon H. Trail, dear aunt of Gary Cordner and Gwen Cordner, and dear cousin of Doris Fordham, Barbara Lee Schriefer and Harry Schriefer.
Mrs. Trail served as administrator of Woodlawn Cemetery and New Cathedral Cemetery in Baltimore and was active in the American Cemetery Association. She enjoyed retirement in Ocean Pines where she was a member of “Swimmin Women” and served as Treasurer of St. Paul’s By The Sea Episcopal Church in Ocean City. Peg moved to Fairhaven in Sykesville in 2000 where she continued to enjoy aquacize.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, Dec. 28, 2013 at 11 a.m. at Fairhaven Chapel (7200 Third Avenue) Sykesville. Private interment will be in Woodlawn Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Fairhaven Residents’ Association or Chapel Altar Guild.

Tom Kalista
BERLIN — Tom Kalista passed away Dec. 17, 2013 in Florida.
Born in Baltimore on Aug. 24, 1951, he was son of Willliam and Arlene Kalista.
He worked in the construction business in Ocean City after relocating here over 30 years ago.
He was willing to give a helping hand to anyone. He enjoyed his boat.
He is survived by two daughters, Nora Kalista and Nealy Kalista-Dinger, both of Ohio; a brother, William and his wife, Karen; two sisters, Carol Bromwell and her husband, George, and Frank Canfield, and her husband, Blake; friends, William and Susan Grevey and Michael and Ronnie Grevey; and most of all his close companion of 28 years, Linda Grevey.
Any donations in his memory may be made to the Assateague Pony Patrol.
A memorial service will be held at a later date.
