Seahawks Continue Up and Down Trend

BERLIN- Stephen Decatur’s boys’ varsity basketball team continued its early season up and down ways last week, beating Mardela last Wednesday on the road before falling to Wicomico at home on Friday.
The win one, lose one trend continued for the Seahawks, whose record now stands at 2-2. Decatur opened the season with a 71-63 win on the road at North Caroline back on December 5, followed by a 75-70 loss to Crisfield the following day. Last week, the Seahawks beat Mardela fairly handily on the road, 66-47, but back slid again on Friday with a narrow 68-65 loss to Wicomico.
Thus far, the Seahawks’ two wins have come on the road, while they have yet to win at home in two attempts. Decatur will get a chance to continue the trend with a road game against county rival Pocomoke this afternoon in the last game before the holiday break. The Seahawks will compete in the Governor’s Challenge next weekend before returning to regular season action with a road game against Washington on January 7.
