The War on the Shore tournament features some of the best high school wrestling programs in Maryland, Delaware, Virginia, West Virginia and Washington, D.C. Typically about 20 teams compete in the tournament, which got underway today with a full day of preliminary matches and concludes on Saturday culminating with championships in each weight class.
Representing Maryland in the tournament this weekend will be host Stephen Decatur, Archbishop Curley, Gonzaga, Huntingtown, Mount Saint Joseph, Severna Park, and St. Mary’s Ryken. Delaware will be represented by Caravel Academy, Middletown, Salesianum, Sussex Tech and Sussex Central.

Host Decatur finished in a tie for 11th overall with 84 points.
