BERLIN — Berlin Police are looking for a suspect considered armed and dangerous after a standoff incident at an apartment complex on Monday afternoon.
Shortly after 3 p.m. on Monday, Berlin Police responded to the Homes of Berlin I apartment complex on Flower Street for a reported incident involving a man with gun. The investigation revealed the suspect, identified on Tuesday as Adrian Wilson, 29, of Willards, had been involved in an altercation with three other individuals at the apartment complex and had produced a handgun and assaulted the three victims and threatened them at gunpoint.
A SWAT team was activated and mobilized outside the apartment complex before entering the unit. However, Wilson was not found inside and evaded capture. As of mid-week, Wilson was still at large and considered armed and dangerous. He is an African-American male about six feet tall and around 230 pounds.
Wilson has been charged on a warrant with first-degree assault and the use and possession of a handgun during a crime. In 2011, Wilson was convicted in Worcester County of illegal possession of a regulated firearm and possession of marijuana and was sentenced to six months in jail.
Anyone with information about his whereabouts is urged to contact the Berlin Police Department at 410-641-1333.
