Route 90 Work Announced For Next Week
Route 90

OCEAN CITY — Motorists hoping to access Route 90 out of Ocean City next week will have to use Route 50 or a northern alternative for the better part of two days mid-week as the State Highway Administration (SHA) undertakes yet another project on the westbound lanes of the span.
SHA will be replacing a drainage inlet gate on the Route 90 bridge next Wednesday and Thursday.
As a result, the westbound lane will be closed from Ocean City to St. Martin’s Neck Rd. on both days from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. The eastbound lane of the bridge will not be affected during the project.
Motorist leaving Ocean City should use Route 50 to Route 589 for the duration of the project, which is expected to take two days.
Portable variable message signs will be posted on Coastal Highway in Ocean City alerting motorists to the temporary closure of the westbound lane on Route 90.
