County Schedules Regional Flu Clinics

SNOW HILL — With the arrival of flu season and the first confirmed case of flu in Maryland announced this week, the Worcester County Health Department is urging all residents ages six months and older to get vaccinated and is offering several clinics next week to make the shots available.
Seasonal influenza has officially arrived in Maryland with the first laboratory-confirmed case identified in a child from the national capital region, who was briefly hospitalized and is now recovering, state health department officials announced this week.
The county health department is making the flu shots available at three clinics around Worcester next week from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. The clinics will be held on Wednesday through October at the Pocomoke Health Center, on Thursdays at the Berlin Health Center and on Fridays at the Snow Hill Health Department.
