Seahawks Top Mardela to Improve to 2-1

BERLIN- After dropping its season opener, 2-0, to North Caroline last week, Stephen Decatur’s boys’ varsity soccer team has now pulled off two straight wins to improve to 2-1 on the season.
The Seahawks fell, 2-0, in its season opener on the road at North Caroline, but have since won two in a row to improve to 2-1. Decatur topped county rival Pocomoke last Thursday to improve to 1-1, then blanked Mardela, 2-0, on Tuesday to pull above .500. Against Mardela, Zak Hoshino and Alton Walker each scored single goals. Logan Thumma was tough in the net, recording seven saves. Decatur now hits the road for two straight games including Queen Anne’s this evening and Indian River on Monday.
