Doris R. Jarvis
SALISBURY — Doris Richardson Jarvis, age 86, died peacefully at her home on June 20, 2013.

Born in Willards, she was the daughter of the late Arnold Sidney Richardson and Lillie Mae Wells Richardson. She was preceded in death by her husband, Raymond R. Jarvis, Jr., in 1986.

She is survived by her children, Raymond R. Jarvis, III of Salisbury, and Elaine “Honey” Jarvis of Selbyville, and Lee A. Jarvis and his wife Kathy of Willards. She was the adored grandmother to Tiffany Reddish (Walt) of Salisbury and Kenny Messer (Erica) of Los Angeles, Calif., and four great-grandchildren, Morgan, Max, Jack and Lily.

Mrs. Jarvis received her nursing degree from Peninsula General Hospital School of Nursing in 1946. She worked briefly at Sheppard-Pratt Hospital in Baltimore before returning to PGH as a surgical nurse. Later she worked with her husband at Jarvis Real Estate in Ocean City.

She was a member of Atlantic United Methodist Church, Worcester County Women’s Club, co-chairperson of the Board of Directors of Diakonia, Board Member of the Worcester County Department of Social Services, and a member of the Worcester Chapter Order of the Eastern Star. She also did missionary work for the Red Bird Mission in Kentucky.

A memorial service was held on Monday at the Burbage Funeral Home in Berlin. Rev. George Patterson officiated. Interment was private for the family. Agnes Teresa Reinhart

OCEAN CITY — Mrs. Agnes Teresa “Terry” Reinhart, 81, passed away on Sunday, June 16, 2013 at St. Joseph’s Hospital in Savannah, Ga.

She was born in Baltimore, Md. on Nov. 21, 1931 to the late Glenroy and Teresa Schissler. Mrs. Reinhart was preceded in death by husbands David N. Gilbert and James L. Reinhart as well as a brother, John Schissler.

Survivors include her children, Darden Hudson (Charles), Dobbyn Gilbert (Ron), Dustin Gilbert (Amy); stepchildren, James Reinhart, Jr. (Joan) and Ann Reinhart (Lynn); grandsons, Kyle and Brooks Gilbert; brother, Glenroy Schissler, Jr.; sisters, Angela Serio and Margaret Swann; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. She was also a nanny to William and Christopher Powell.

Mrs. Reinhart’s career was in real estate in Ocean City, for 30 years. Through her work, she established many friends and colleagues that respected her greatly.

She was a former member of St. Timothy’s Episcopal Church in Catonsville, Md. where she served as president of the Episcopal Church Women. Upon moving to Georgia, she became a member of St. Luke’s Episcopal Church in Rincon, Ga. Mrs. Reinhart enjoyed her many conversations about faith, childhood memories and music with Father Liam Collins.

Mrs. Reinhart will always be remembered for her love of the beach, wild birds, kitties and her green thumb at gardening. She and her caregiver, Brenda Hall, found great pleasure watching God’s birds appearing daily to entertain them at her bird feeders.

The Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, July 20, 2013 at St. Luke’s Episcopal Church 155 Goshen Road, Rincon, Ga. at 11 a.m.
