United Way of the Lower Eastern Shore and PNC Bank recently awarded a special prize to a local donor during the annual Leadership Celebration. PNC Bank sponsored the $2,500 gift certificate to Boscov’s Travel, which was awarded to Paul Brown of Jubilant Cadista. Brown was chosen in a random drawing of over 580 Anchor Society donors who contributed $500 or more during this year’s campaign. Luz Castillo has been chosen as the Pine’eer Craft Club Crafter for the month of July. Shop treasurer, Castillo was chosen because of her talent and because of her extra dedication to the club. The club is open every Saturday and Sunday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. in the Pine’eer Craft and Gift Shop, White Horse Park, Ocean Pines.
The Berlin Lions Club held its annual awards night and installation of new officers on Saturday, June 22. Outgoing Lions President Rick Holland, left, passed the gavel to incoming President Ray McCabe. Lion Ray Robinson was tapped to be the new secretary for the club and Lion Wes McCabe will serve another year as club treasurer.
